3. How We Use Information

We use information to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, provide the mobile and web applications, schedule inspections, manage clients and properties, generate inspection reports, process agreements, publish report links, support offline inspection workflows, sync data between devices, and deliver customer support.

We use information to process subscriptions and payments, send invoices, send password reset emails, deliver booking confirmations, deliver agreement and report notifications, provide in-app notifications, connect optional calendars, and maintain user-selected business settings.

We use information to secure the service, prevent fraud or abuse, investigate suspicious activity, enforce our terms and policies, comply with legal obligations, maintain backups, diagnose technical issues, improve reliability, and understand high-level product usage.

We do not use personal information for third-party targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly used under U.S. state privacy laws.

4. How We Disclose Information

With your direction or as part of the service, inspectors may share booking pages, agreements, invoices, and report links with clients, agents, agencies, team members, or other recipients. Information included in those materials may be visible to people with access to the shared link or communication.

We disclose information to service providers that help us host, store, secure, monitor, email, authenticate, analyze, support, and operate the service. These may include cloud hosting and database providers, AWS S3 or compatible storage, Stripe, Firebase or Google services, Apple and Google sign-in providers, and calendar providers you connect.

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, government request, legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, property, security, users, or the public.

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and privacy protections.

5. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account, support inspection and reporting workflows, comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment, security, and dispute-resolution obligations, and preserve backup and audit records.

Inspection reports, agreements, client records, property records, media, and business workflow data are generally retained until the account owner deletes them, requests account deletion, or retention is no longer necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

Backups, security logs, audit logs, payment records, and records needed for legal or compliance reasons may be retained for a limited period after account deletion. Backup copies are overwritten through our normal backup rotation.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, authenticated access controls, encrypted sensitive credentials where supported by the platform, secure token handling, and restricted administrative access.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong password, protecting your devices, keeping your login credentials confidential, and promptly notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may access or update many account, client, inspection, report, scheduling, payment, branding, and template settings directly in the app or web platform.

You may grant or revoke camera, photo library, microphone, file, notification, and local storage permissions through your device settings. Some features may not work without the relevant permission.

You may request deletion of your Hyper Focused account and associated app data by emailing us or by visiting /delete-account. We may need to verify account ownership before processing the request.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of certain personal information, and to appeal a denied request. We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
